What is UtilitySEO?
On this page
UtilitySEO helps a small business get found in Google and in AI answers. It works from your own Google data, checks your website, tracks the searches you show up for and what AI assistants say about you, then tells you in plain words what to do first. Plans start at £39 a month, with a free trial and no card needed.

What it covers
UtilitySEO does four jobs in one app:
- Being found in AI answers (AEO and GEO). AEO, answer engine optimisation, is whether your business is named when someone asks an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Perplexity for a recommendation. GEO, generative engine optimisation, is whether your website is easy for those assistants to read and quote. We check both.
- SEO. Whether your site is in good shape for Google, and which fixes matter most.
- Keywords. What people search for, where you rank, and which searches are closest to page one.
- A plan. Every list is ordered by what it costs your business, with the page to change and how to change it.
How it works
- You add your website as a project. We start a site scan straight away: it reads up to 100 pages it can reach and lists what it found. You can run bigger scans yourself, up to your plan's page limit.
- You connect Search Console (Google's free report of how your site shows in search) and, if you like, Google Analytics and Google Ads. These are your own numbers, not estimates from someone else's database.
- UtilitySEO turns the data into next steps: the fix to make first, the searches nearly on page one, the topics to write about, and how you show up in AI answers.
Who it is for
- Small businesses and sole traders without an SEO person.
- Local businesses that serve a town or area. There is a Local SEO checklist on the Dashboard.
- Freelancers and small agencies looking after a few client sites.
The app is in English, German and Dutch.
What it does not do
We show what is in the way and what to fix. We cannot promise a ranking or a mention in an AI answer: Google and the AI companies decide those. The site scan finds the common problems that hold a site back; it is not a guarantee that nothing else is wrong.
