How does Ask about this project work?

Ask is a button that stays in the bottom-right corner of every screen inside a project. Press it, type a question about your website, such as "What changed in my search traffic this month?", and get a short answer drawn only from this project's own data: scans, search history, analytics, AI visibility checks, your content plan and links. Each question uses 1 AI use, and Ask is on the Entrepreneur and Enterprise plans.
Ask a question
- Inside a project, press Ask at the bottom right of the screen. The panel Ask about this project opens.
- Type your question, or pick one under Try one, for example: - Which open issue should I fix first, and what will it change? - Are any of my published posts missing from Google, and what should I do? - Which AI assistants mention my brand least, and for which questions?
- Press Ask. While it works it says Reading the project….
The answer leads with a sentence or two, then a few short points, then one next step inside UtilitySEO where there is one. Under each answer, From this project lists the data it used.
What it will and will not do
- It only uses numbers that are in your project's data. If the data needed is missing, it says what is missing and what would provide it, such as connecting Google Analytics, rather than guessing.
- It says what happened alongside what, never that one thing caused another.
- The conversation is kept only while you are on that project in this visit. Nothing is saved.

Everyone can ask up to 40 questions a day; the panel shows how many are left today. When your AI uses for the month are gone, the button says so until they reset on the 1st. See AI uses explained.
Questions people ask
It says "We could not answer that right now". What now?
Try again in a moment. If it keeps happening, see an AI feature is not working. A failed answer does not use an AI use.
Can it change anything on my site?
No. Ask only reads your data and answers. To act on an answer, use the screen it points you to.
Can I ask about another project?
Ask answers about the project you are in. Switch project to ask about another one.
