What do the AI Visibility Score and share of voice mean?
On this page
The AI Visibility Score, out of 100, is mostly the share of AI answers that named your business, with a small bonus when answers speak well of you and a nudge up or down for the recent trend. Share of voice is your share of all the times any brand you track was named. Both are on the Dashboard tab of Analytics, AI Visibility.

The score
The score starts from your mention rate: of the answers to your brand questions, the share that named you. Positive mentions add a little, and the trend adds a little when you are being named more often, or takes a little off when less. Under the score it says Trending up, Trending down or Stable, and whether you are frequently, sometimes or rarely mentioned yet.
Beside it:
- Brand mentions: how many answers named you.
- Mention rate: the share of answers that named you.
- Total checks: how many answers the figures are based on.
- Best platform: the AI assistant that names you most.
Dashboard figures cover your latest six runs. Use the platform filter at the top of the page to see one assistant only. Each assistant's card shows its own mention rate, or why it has none, such as "not checked" when it did not answer on the last run.
Share of voice
Of all the times a brand you track was named, the share that were yours, with your rank among the brands you track. Only the competitors listed in Setup are counted. Until there have been three or more runs it is marked Early data, because the shares look alike at first.
Visibility trend
Your mentions against each competitor's, run by run. It starts with your second weekly check.
Brand comparison
How often each brand appears in answers to neutral questions about your kind of business, shown as a List or Cards, with each brand's best rank in the answers. See where a leading competitor wins opens the Comparison tab on that competitor. See compare with competitors.
