What is the results page snapshot?
On this page
The results page snapshot shows the Google results we saw for one of your tracked keywords in this week's check: the top 20 results in order, with your site and your competitors marked. Open the Results page snapshot tab on the Rank tracker (also under Search in the menu), or select a search in the table to see The results page beside its history. Choose desktop or mobile.
What it shows
- The top 20 results, each with its position, site and page title.
- Your site and your competitors highlighted, so you can see who sits around you.
- The sites Google's AI Overview cited, if it showed one (desktop).
- The businesses in the map results, if Google showed them.
Why only this week
We keep the full page for the latest week only. Older weeks keep your position and your competitors' positions, which is what the history chart uses, but not the whole page. If a snapshot says this week's page was not kept, the positions are still in the Rank tracker; the page itself will be there after next Sunday's check.
Questions people ask
Is this exactly what I see when I search?
Not always. Google changes results by place, device and what you have searched before. The snapshot is a neutral search from your project's country.
Can I see the snapshot for any search?
Only for your tracked keywords. Add a keyword on the Keywords page to have it checked from next Sunday. See track keywords.
