How do I find internal links to add?
On this page
Open Track, press Internal links in the row of views, then press Find link opportunities. We read up to 40 of your top pages and look for phrases already in your body copy that another of your pages is the best match for in Google, and that are not linked yet. Each suggestion tells you the page to edit, the exact words to link and where to point them.

Run it
- Open Track, then Internal links.
- Press Find link opportunities. It takes up to a minute.
- Read the summary: how many pages were read and how many places to add a link were found.
It needs Search Console connected, because the phrases come from the searches each page already shows for.
Read a suggestion
Each row shows:
- On page: the page to open in your website editor.
- link to: the page the link should point at.
- Link these words: the exact phrase to select, with Copy.
- The sentence around the phrase, so you can find it quickly.
- The impressions for that search and where the target page ranks now.
Open the page in your website, find the sentence, select the words and add a link to the target page. That is the whole job.
Pages nothing links to
Below the suggestions, Pages nothing links to lists pages with no more than one link pointing at them from the pages we read. Search engines treat a page nothing links to as unimportant and visit it rarely. These usually need adding to a menu or a related page by hand.
Notes you may see
- Phrases that appear on most of your pages (menus, footers, taglines) are skipped.
- Phrases owned by a page in another language get no suggestion; linking a page to its translation is a different job.
- If the run hit its time limit, it says so. Press Re-run to cover more.
The This week view's Internal links to add card counts pages nothing links to from your last site scan; See them in Site Health opens that list.
