How do I find pages Google may see as low value?
On this page
Every Entire Site scan gives each page one verdict: Spam signals, Low value, Worth a look or Looks fine. Open your scan results and find Pages Google may see as low value, worst first. Click a page to see each reason, the evidence and what to do about it.
Where to find page checks
- On the scan results (Audit, SEO Results), in the card Pages Google may see as low value.
- In Analytics, Keywords, on the Pages tab: flagged pages carry a small label. Show only flagged narrows the table to them.
What the verdicts mean
Spam signals. Something Google's spam policies name, found plainly:
- one word or phrase makes up 10% or more of the page's own words, or
- the page is one of a set of near-identical pages whose addresses differ by one word, usually a town name.
Fix these first, because they can affect how Google treats the whole site, not just the page.
Low value. Probably not worth Google showing as it stands:
- the page is substantially the same as another of your pages, or
- it has under 250 words of its own content and searchers ignore it too.
Worth a look. One weaker sign on its own, such as:
- shown in Google 100 or more times in 16 weeks and never clicked,
- not shown in Google at all in 16 weeks (only for pages our scans have seen for at least 4 weeks),
- one word or phrase making up 6% or more of the page's own words,
- under 250 words of its own content,
- dated more than two years ago,
- parts of the page hidden in a way the rest of your site does not do.
Looks fine. Nothing found.
The search signals need Search Console connected. Without it, page checks use what the scan saw on the page only.
What we do not judge
Pages you have kept out of Google on purpose, with a noindex tag or a canonical tag naming another page, are not judged. There is no score or percentage: each verdict lists the reasons, so you can check them yourself.
Questions people ask
What do I do with a low value page?
Improve it, merge it into a stronger page and redirect the old address, or keep it out of Google with noindex if it is there for visitors only. The reasons on each page suggest which.
It says a page was never shown, but Search Console shows an impression. Why?
Page checks read our weekly copy of your Search Console data, which runs a week or two behind Google's live screens. The reason says which weeks it covers.
Is a page with only 200 words always a problem?
No. A short page that people find and click is fine. Thin content alone is only "Worth a look"; it becomes "Low value" when searchers ignore the page as well.
My older scan has no page checks. Why?
Page checks started on 30 September 2026. Run a new Entire Site scan to get them.
